Our New Resort Fee Program!
In response to your feedback the Palmer Gulch Lodge/Mt. Rushmore KOA has initiated a new fee program for resort activities. This year there will be a $5.00 per night resort fee that will be added to each campsite. This will enable everyone registered at your site to use the following facilities at no additional charge during your entire stay!

KOA Splash Park
New in 2007! Enjoy the hottest in aqua recreation. Our Splash Park has play features that children young and old can enjoy. Water Cannons, Ground Geysers, Cylinder Sprays and more will entertain your whole family on those warm summer days!
KOA Jumping Pillow
New in 2007! The KOA Jumping Pillow will be a great hit with the entire family! One of the newest and hottest recreational amenities around. Jumping Pillows provide safe fun for kids and adults alike.
Hill City Slickers
These local entertainers amuse all ages with their variety of cowboy and folk songs, oldies, and fun originals. Guest participation is always a must - singing along and howling at the moon are just a few of the things the Hill City Slickers incorporate into their free live performance.
Miniature Golf
Nine holes of putting fun can be found at the Kowboy Kountry Klub. Play this exciting course built around an Old West theme with a chance to win a free game on the ninth hole.

Shuttle Service to Mt. Rushmore or Crazy Horse lighting ceremonies
Take a shuttle to either the Mt. Rushmore or Crazy Horse lighting ceremonies. Service available Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Bike Rentals
Fun Cycles and Banana Peels are available for rental.
Car Rental
Hills. Hairpin Turns. Tunnels. Leave your RV parked and rent a car right at the resort for your own tour of the Black Hills. All sizes are available. Entrance pass to Custer State Park is included.

Palmer Gulch Stables
Experience the Black Hills on horseback! Choose from the Willow Creek or Mushroom Rock rides departing daily from 8am to 5pm, weather permitting. For the ultimate trail ride, Ride the Peak, the only trail ride to the top of Harney Peak, highest point in the Black Hills. Enjoy “vittles on the trail" with the Cowboy Breakfast Ride. Vast scenery, the company of a good horse and a hearty cowboy breakfast make this ride unforgettable!
